French Cowboys Hospitality
Overview
We are seeking a results-driven General Manager to lead our two unique properties in Comfort, TX: Camp Comfort and The Meyer Hotel. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for delivering top line revenue, maintaining exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring our brand values are brought to life through every stay. The General Manager will serve as the central leader across both properties—responsible for revenue generation, guest satisfaction, team development, and operational excellence. This individual will work closely with our corporate leadership team while building a strong presence within the local community. About French Cowboys Hospitality
French Cowboys is a Texas-based boutique hospitality brand and management company redefining what it means to escape. We operate a growing collection of design-forward hotels across the Texas Hill Country—inviting guests to disconnect from the city and reconnect with what matters most. Founded by two childhood friends, Dylan and Franklin—affectionately known as the original "French Cowboys"—our brand was born out of a shared love for culture, craftsmanship, and community. Raised speaking French to their fathers and English to their mothers, they bring a distinctive blend of Southern hospitality and European sensibility to every property. Our mission is to breathe new life into forgotten places and create unforgettable experiences rooted in authenticity, local character, and modern comfort. Every space we touch is thoughtfully restored, blending historic charm with warm, personal service. We currently manage 7 boutique hotels (200 rooms) across the Texas Hill Country, with plans to double in size—adding 4 more properties and 200 additional rooms across Texas over the next 24 months. Looking ahead, our 10-year vision is to become the leading operator of boutique hospitality in Texas, spanning hotels, restaurants, bars, concert venues, and more. At French Cowboys, we’re building more than beautiful places to stay—we’re creating places that feel both timeless and alive. Key Responsibilities
Own and drive revenue performance across both properties. Identify and pursue new business opportunities including weddings, social events, corporate offsites, and retreats. Conduct outbound sales efforts including cold calls, emails, and in-person meetings. Attend and represent the property at local community functions and networking events. Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline of leads, with diligent tracking and follow-up in our CRM. Track performance and adjust strategies proactively. Understand and apply revenue management practices, including pricing strategies, length-of-stay restrictions, and distribution channel performance. Operations Management
Lead daily operations across both properties, ensuring all departments (housekeeping, front desk, maintenance) operate efficiently and exceed guest expectations. Work with events coordinator and property teams to execute onsite events. Monitor and manage quality control, brand standards, and operational consistency across both hotels. Ensure timely resolution of guest issues, maintenance needs, and staff concerns. Maintain P&L oversight, manage labor and expenses in line with budget, and support forecasting efforts. Ensure all spending aligns with company financial goals and property-specific targets. Assist with monthly financial reporting and provide strategic commentary on performance drivers. Recruit, train, and retain top-tier staff; foster a positive, accountable, and service-minded culture. Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and coaching conversations. Empower team members to resolve issues and improve systems while modeling exceptional guest service. Community & Brand Stewardship
Act as the face of the property in the Comfort community—build strong relationships with local businesses, local organizations, and tourism partners. Represent French Cowboys Hospitality at community events and through strategic partnerships. Champion the history, charm, and uniqueness of both Camp Comfort and The Meyer Hotel. Qualifications
