General Superintendent – Fort Myers. You will oversee field operations, mentor Superintendents and field staff, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with exceptional quality and safety. You will lead with integrity, drive results, and help shape the future of commercial construction across Florida. Responsibilities
Project Oversight And Leadership: ensure projects are completed on schedule and on budget, maintain a safe environment, and uphold SCI values. Oversee and assist Superintendents; mentor and educate field staff. Assist with field manpower allocation and manage company-owned tools and equipment. Manage warranty work and participate in pre-award meetings with subcontractors as needed. Assist Project Managers in development of master project schedules as needed. Safety And Compliance
Manage the Safety Program and lead the Safety Committee. Ensure a safe work environment and adherence to SCI Safety Manual and OSHA standards for all parties on SCI projects. Attend AHCA inspections as required and attend weekly Project Management meetings as needed. Project Coordination And Collaboration
Participate in job start-up meetings to clearly define roles. Participate in pre-construction meetings with design teams and owners on-site to establish points of contact and RFI/Submittal processes. Participate in on-site OAC meetings; attend weekly subcontractor coordination meetings as needed. Work with Superintendents and Project Managers to implement and maintain the master project schedule; review two-week look-ahead schedules and track against the overall project schedule. Conduct weekly or bi-weekly jobsite inspections and maintain job walk checklists for compliance; ensure site appearance and documentation (Daily Logs, look-aheads, Milestones, As-builts, RFIs, submittals). Ensure SCI Safety measures are followed. Problem-Solving And Training
Collaborate with Superintendents, subcontractors, and design professionals to anticipate and solve problems before they impact schedule, budget, or quality. Assist with preconstruction services and field-related standard operating procedures; support onboarding and field training. Contribute to the company’s strategic plan and ensure compliance with SOPs. Other duties as assigned. Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering, or 10+ years of related field or extensive experience in construction and field operations. Proven track record of overseeing and completing complex construction projects. Strong leadership and mentoring skills; knowledge of construction safety regulations (OSHA) and safety programs. Proficiency in project management, scheduling, and quality control; strong communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with construction software (e.g., Procore) and Microsoft Office; commitment to safety and quality; willingness to ongoing training. Benefits
