As a Network Engineer III, you will be responsible for the configuration, and troubleshooting of advanced enterprise network solutions, with a primary focus on Prisma SD-WAN and Prisma Access technologies. This role demands deep technical expertise in complex networking environments and a strong understanding of secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures. You will lead efforts in deploying and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include hands-on implementation, advanced diagnostics, and strategic planning for network enhancements. This position also involves cross-functional collaboration, including scoping activities, and technical execution, customer engagement, and project oversight. You will work closely with Solution Design Architects, Project Management (PMO), and Support teams to ensure successful delivery and transition of management network solutions. Essential Functions

Hands-On Implementation & Execution End-to-End Deployment: Lead the full lifecycle of network solution deployments, with a focus on building and configuring Prisma SD-WAN and Prisma Access environments. Configuration & Build: Perform hands-on configuration of network devices, cloud-based security platforms, and routing protocols to meet customer requirements and ensure optimal performance. Advanced Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex network issues during deployment, including connectivity, routing, and integration challenges across hybrid environments. Site Builds: Execute detailed deployment tasks such as hub and branch site provisioning, tunnel establishment, policy configuration, and dynamic routing setup. Project Collaboration: Work closely with PMO and internal teams to align technical execution with project timelines and deliverables. Provide timely updates on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies. Documentation & Operational Handoff Deployment Documentation: Create and maintain detailed configuration records, implementation guides, and troubleshooting documentation for each customer environment. Knowledge Transfer: Conduct structured handoff sessions with Support teams, including walkthroughs of deployed environments, operational procedures, and Q&A to ensure smooth post-deployment management. Operational Readiness: Ensure all deployed solutions meet performance, security, and scalability standards before transitioning to steady-state operations. 24/7 Availability when required, for escalation support, and site deployments. Education & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience Experience:

9+ years of hands-on experience in the design, implementation, troubleshooting, and support of routers, switches, and firewalls in large or enterprise network environments Certifications

Required:

CCNP, PCNSE, JNCIP or equivalent Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Certifications (Preferred, Not Required): PCNSE-SDWAN Cloud & SASE: AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions May lead project-based teams by assigning, coordinating, and reviewing work from team members performing similar tasks. Strong experience with Cisco switching: 6500, 4500, 3750/3560 series Nexus 7k / 5k / 2k experience highly preferred Proficiency with Cisco routing platforms: ASR, 7200, ISR G2 Familiarity with network IPS/IDS, Cisco ASA Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Cisco WAAS (plus) Expert knowledge of TCP/IP v4, VLANs, PVLANs, Layer 3 switching, ACLs, and Spanning Tree (MST/PVST) Expertise in Cisco CatOS, IOS, NX-OS, Nexus vPC, VDC, FabricPath, and FEX technologies Strong understanding of WAN and DMZ architectures Proficiency in enterprise routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, OSPF High-level troubleshooting skills in switching and routing Experience using network analysis, performance monitoring, and bandwidth management tools TCP/IP, UDP, and OSI Model deep understanding Routing and Switching (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS) LAN/WAN Design and Optimization Network Protocol Analysis (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump) IPv4/IPv6 Subnetting and Addressing Quality of Service (QoS) and traffic shaping Multicast Routing and IGMP/PIM protocols Firewall Technologies (e.g., Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet) VPNs and Tunneling Protocols (IPSec, SSL, GRE) Network Access Control (NAC) Zero Trust Architecture Security Auditing and Compliance (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) SD-WAN and SASE Technologies Virtual Network Functions (VNFs) Hybrid Cloud Connectivity and VPN Gateways Scripting Languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) REST APIs and NetConf/YANG Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles SNMP and Syslog Management Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning Root Cause Analysis and Troubleshooting Supervisory Responsibilities

May lead project-based teams by assigning, coordinating, and reviewing work from team members performing similar tasks Occasional Evening and weekend work based on project deadlines and support requirements Due to U.S. Government requirements applicable to foreign-owned telecommunications providers, non-US citizens may be required to submit to an extensive government agency background check which will necessitate disclosure of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information.
