We are seeking a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a growing platform. In this role, you will help define the direction for CI/CD systems, cloud architecture, and DevOps strategy, creating an environment that empowers development teams to deliver high-quality applications efficiently. The focus is on cloud engineering, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and building a developer platform that enhances productivity. Responsibilities Enhance and expand CI/CD systems, infrastructure as code, job orchestration, and development environment automation. Architect and manage large-scale Kubernetes workloads. Deliver end-to-end DevOps and cloud engineering solutions, including documentation, observability, and long-term maintainability. Collaborate with development teams to provide an observable, self-service platform. Monitor and optimize performance and cost for cloud systems and pipelines. Continuously improve the developer experience by leveraging technical expertise. Take full ownership of projects from design through deployment and maintenance.
Qualifications
35 years of experience. Experience compiling and deploying software in multiple languages (C++, Python, Java). Expertise in build automation tooling (Bazel). Hybrid cloud/on-prem Kubernetes/Helm architecture and operations. Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform services. Observability tools (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch). Strong Linux and networking knowledge. Terraform (including modularization). Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, ArgoCD, Jenkins). Package management tools (pypy, conan, maven, conda).
Nice to Have
Cloud-based data warehousing at scale (BigQuery, AWS RedShift, Azure Synapse, Databricks). Job orchestration tools (Apache Airflow). Advanced Linux tuning and container optimization skills.
