Virtualization Engineer - Active TS/SCI with CI POLY

Our work depends on a Virtualization Engineer joining our team to support Government activities in Sterling, VA or Annapolis Junction, MD. As a Virtualization Engineer supporting the Government, you will be responsible for physical/virtual platforms, server build deployments, server virtualization, hyperconverged platforms, etc. In this role, a typical day will include: Design and build virtual environment service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service. Identify, design, and implement process improvements for the virtualization of and distribution of applications: automating manual processes, optimizing delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability. Designs, implements, and maintains VMWare vSphere virtualization infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and vSAN. Analyze user's requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations. Develop system architecture and design documentation. Interact with the Government regarding technical considerations and issues. Ensure the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables in the Systems Engineering area of responsibility. 10+ Years of experience in relevant field and a High School Diploma. Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Proficiency in configuring and optimizing virtual machines, storage, and networking.
