Are you passionate about driving growth in the life sciences sector and forging strategic partnerships that accelerate biomedical innovation? A leading pre-clinical CRO is seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to lead business expansion efforts across the Boston region. This role offers the flexibility of a remote-based position while maintaining a strong presence in the Boston/Cambridge biotech hub through regular client visits, networking, and participation in key industry events.

Responsibilities

Lead business development strategy and execution in the Boston/Cambridge region.

Cultivate and expand long-term client partnerships with biotech and pharma stakeholders.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the pre-clinical research market.

Present the company’s products and services, highlighting expertise in mouse models and in vivo pharmacology.

Collaborate closely with internal scientific and operational teams to align client needs with service offerings.

Qualifications

PhD in Biology or a related life sciences field strongly preferred.

Proven track record in business development within the CRO, biotech, or pharma space is highly desirable.

Deep understanding of in vivo mouse models, pre-clinical pharmacology, and their critical role in translational research.

Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives, influence decision-makers, and manage complex client accounts.

Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
