Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced
Staff Accountant
with a strong focus on
Fixed Assets
to join our team. This is a
contract-to-direct hire
opportunity offering full-time hours. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing fixed asset processes and a solid foundation in accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset subledger to the general ledger.
Track the compilation of project costs into fixed asset accounts and close out accounts once projects are completed.
Monitor, record, and review fixed asset acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) related to fixed assets.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, focusing on fixed asset-related entries.
Prepare and support internal and external audit requests related to fixed assets.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., operations, finance) to track capital projects and budgets.
Recommend and implement process improvements related to fixed asset accounting.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
(required).
2+ years of accounting experience , with a
strong emphasis on fixed asset accounting
(required).
Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset modules.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
