Based out of Dallas, TX, Aaron Resources is accepting resumes for an opening in its Dallas office for land professionals. Aaron Resources provides comprehensive land management services for onshore Oil & Gas properties in North America including: title examination, lease/property acquisition, curative, and due-diligence.
All applicants must be active AAPL members and be proficient in running leasehold title in the Permian Basin. No phone calls please.

Education / Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience as Landman or related field (such as Land Administration, Title Abstractor, Lease Buyer, Mineral Buyer, Real Estate Broker, or an associated discipline)
Bachelors degree with course study in petroleum land management
Juris Doctor with course study in oil and gas law
Required Skills
Advanced understanding of Oil & Gas surface, mineral, and leasehold title and the legal and regulatory framework for oil & gas exploration
Ability to create ownership chains of title and perform complex ownership calculations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel)
Strong research skills and attention to detail
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment while being self-motivated
Responsibilities
Examining record title to properties of interest to our clients
Calculating mineral interest, royalty interest, working interest, and net revenue interest from a chain of title
Reviewing oil and gas leases for key provisions
Reviewing well files and production data from state regulatory commissions
Interpreting and identifying provisions of land contracts (including farm-ins/farm-outs, joint operating agreements, unit agreements, and purchase and sale agreements)
Identifying and valuating title defects
Preparing professional reports for our clients
Performing various levels of leasing and acquisition work (including phone calls, negotiations, and in-person communications)
