Oxfam America seeks Associate Director, Inclusive Value Chains & Private Sector in Boston, MA. The Associate Director, Inclusive Value Chains & Private Sector will lead and grow Oxfam America's Inclusive Value Chains programming and support Private Sector Department (PSD) work with investors. Duties include: Responsibilities

Lead development of and oversee Inclusive Value Chains (IVC) program portfolio: oversee follow-through and accountability dimensions of the Behind the Brands campaign with respect to US companies; oversee the development and execution of a new multi-country multi-affiliate program – Behind the Brands 1.1; regularly convene leads of IVC initiatives – including BtB 1.1, Food & Beverage corporate campaigns, US Foodworker Justice Program, and Agribusiness & Land Rights – to develop an overarching strategy and ensure overall coherence of the portfolio; ensure Inclusive Value Chain grants adhere to program quality standards and are managed to build high-value relationships with key country offices while ensuring OUS fiduciary responsibilities; ensure strategic fit of new initiatives – including fundraising proposals related to IVC; oversee and execute where appropriate – a robust fundraising strategy that secures funding for high-priority IVC initiatives; strengthen OUS networking through written products and engagement of supporters and partners on IVC issues; oversee learning and thought-leadership agenda related to IVC, including research and data generated from MEL systems; and as a member of the Inclusive & Resilient Food Systems senior team, contribute to strategy, prioritization, learning and accountability that brings coherence to the work of the theme. Oversee corporate account management and development and execution of Oxfam Investor strategy: manage and guide specific OUS corporate account managers, primarily but not exclusively focused on food, beverage and agribusiness companies, on behalf of the Oxfam confederation; develop, execute, assess and evolve strategies for effective engagement; manage and guide work of the Oxfam Investor team, including work on impact investment, shareholder advocacy, and social enterprise investment & innovation; guide development of financial sector strategy, including fundraising; participate in speaking opportunities to bring OUS’s Private Sector perspective to lay, professional and academic audiences. Develop and guide Oxfam Private Sector innovation and corporate partnership pipeline: provide direction and support to Oxfam initiatives aimed at reviewing, piloting and developing pro-poor market systems products; help screen and guide new private sector opportunities as they emerge; work with fundraising colleagues to develop and advance a principled approach to private sector program partnerships, including funded partnerships. Leadership, Management & Operations: Engage as a full member of the PSD Management Team, providing leadership on strategy, operations, budgeting, reporting and learning/evaluation; collaborate with peers in Oxfam International and Oxfam affiliates to develop and execute stronger Food Systems and Private Sector initiatives; provide critical support to PSD and Food Systems fundraising efforts, including donor identification, donor cultivation, proposal preparation and project reporting; supervise direct reports through coaching, goal setting, staff development and staff appraisals; develop opportunities for staff development; recruit and supervise consultants and interns; stay abreast of relevant professional standards, trends and issues and demonstrate continuous learning. Directly supervise 5 employees including, Senior Advisor Advocacy & Engagement; Senior Advisor, IVC & County Engagement & Land Rights; Company Engagement Lead, IVC & Private Sector; Advisor, Private Sector Climate-Resilience & IVC; and Advisor, Gender Justice. The employee may work from home within commuting distance from the worksite, in accordance with employer policies. Minimum Requirements

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Psychology, International Development, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience leading strategies for large-scale programs for companies or organizations within specific industries including, food & beverage, agribusiness, and/or issues such as climate change, sustainability, or natural resource rights. Domestic and international travel required at least 20% of the time to various Oxfam locations. 3 years of experience managing $1M+ budgets. 5 years of experience supervising and overseeing the work of professional employees. 5 years of experience developing strategies for large-scale programs including underlying strategies for company engagement and for commodity transformation.
