to fill the

Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager reports to the CIP Project Supervisor - Streets, Transportation, and Parks & Recreation.

The primary duties of this position include:

Manage projects from inception through planning, scoping, design, construction, and post-construction.

Knowledge of standard municipal services or infrastructure, i.e., water, wastewater, reclaim, storm water, vertical structures, municipal facilities, parks and recreation facilities, streets and traffic control systems, and general civil (stormwater, grading and drainage, landscaping, etc.).

Prepares project updates to the CIP annual program update for the assigned project area.

Provides communication of project-related information with local and other government officials, management, staff, contractors, and the public.

Supports right-of-way acquisition, including ordering title reports, legal descriptions, appraisals, and negotiations of fair market value with property owners and documentation of the process.

Developing design and construction project scopes of work, administering and participating in vendor selection processes.

Reviewing the project budget, processing expenditure requests and contract amendments, approving payments, and confirming funding availability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related field.

5 years of Design or Construction Management

3 years of Project/Contract Management

1 year of Right-of-Way acquisition preferred

2 years of Municipal experience preferred

Licensing/Certifications

Professional Engineers License or Architectural License and/or Project Management Certifications preferred.

Current and Valid Arizona Driver's License.

Hybrid designation This position has been identified as eligible for a Hybrid work agreement. Modified work privileges are approved at the sole discretion of the department director; the department reserves the right to modify or discontinue modified work arrangements at any point. Regardless of work location (Remote, On-Site, or Hybrid), Town of Gilbert employees are required to reside in the state of Arizona.

Physical demands and work environment This position has been designated as a Light work position that spends most of their workday in an office environment.

This position is an At-Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.
