Responsibilities
Overseeing capital activity such as contributions and distributions
Preparing periodic valuations and financial reports
Calculating fees and allocating profits/losses
Designing and maintaining waterfall models
Generating performance metrics, including internal rate of return (IRR)
Handling custom reporting requests from clients and investors
Acting as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring consistent service delivery
Maintaining a robust control environment for accounting operations
Leading and mentoring a team of up to 10 professionals
Addressing complex accounting issues escalated by junior staff
Enhancing operational workflows and internal procedures
Coordinating audit processes and ensuring timely completion
Managing onboarding for new clients and transitions
Recruiting, training, and evaluating team members
Collaborating effectively with internal departments and stakeholders
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years in fund accounting, preferably within private equity or hedge fund administration
At least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is a plus but not mandatory
Strong communication and leadership skills
Proven ability to manage and develop teams
Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
Experience with fund accounting systems (e.g., Investran) is highly desirable
Client-focused with strong relationship management skills
