Senior Mechanical Engineer - Semiconductor Equipment
role at
Multibeam Corporation .
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the development, design, and implementation of mechanical systems for our MEBL electron-beam lithography system. You will lead collaboration with external contract design and manufacturing partners and be part of our internal core engineering team supporting the ramp to mass production.
Overview As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for development, design, and implementation of mechanical systems in our MEBL electron-beam lithography system. Lead work with external contract design and manufacturing partners. Be part of our internal core engineering team and directly support our ramp to mass production.
Responsibilities
Lead design and implementation of complex mechanical systems related to all Multibeam products
Establish subsystem specifications, requirements and ensure adherence to them during design
Effectively interface and manage contract design and manufacturing partners
Directly support the design, build, test, and deployment of new products through precise system modeling, tolerance analysis, and application of CFD/FEA
Lead continuous improvement of older systems based on data collection and ranked analysis
Work with operations to improve the manufacturability of existing products
Strict adherence to company standard practices for document revision and change management
Qualifications
B.S. or higher degree in mechanical engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience in semiconductor equipment design; 7+ years preferred
Expert level capability with 3D modeling of complex equipment; SolidWorks/EPDM preferred
Direct experience in at least 3 of these areas: semiconductor capital equipment, vacuum chamber/subsystem design, robotics/motion control, wafer handling, electronics packaging, CFD/FEA
Demonstrated track record releasing equipment on time from Engineering to Manufacturing as sole contributor of one or more key subsystems
About Multibeam Multibeam is re-innovating e-beam lithography to enable cost-effective production of leading-edge semiconductors for advanced packaging, photonics, rapid prototyping, and other special applications.
It is the industry’s only maskless multi-column e-beam platform that offers full-wafer direct write patterning capabilities with fine resolution in a modular architecture that is optimized for scale. The fully automated system features multiple miniaturized e-beam delivery columns and advanced algorithms that enable precision patterning with fab-level productivity.
Innovated by patterning and wafer fab equipment experts, our solution makes patterns that are impossible, difficult, or too expensive for mask-based solutions, with breakthrough time-to-market advantages.
