Responsibilities

Operational Efficiency Copilots — Build RAG-based copilots that surface financial, legal, engineering, and ops insights from our document stack in seconds.

Deal Origination & Diligence AI — Fine-tune LLMs to screen thousands of energy/infra/aviation assets, flagging those that hit IRR, ESG, and risk thresholds.

Community Impact Automation — Automate grant-application workflows for the 661 Foundation so funds reach local projects faster.

Predictive Maintenance Intelligence — AI maintenance database learning from fix logs, upgrades, inspections, and telemetry; recommend proactive interventions, reduce AOG, extend airframe/engine life. Package as SaaS for Global Hawk and fast-jet operators; establish the data backbone for life-extension programs (downtime, MTBF, and overhaul costs).

Autonomous BESS Optimizer — RL controller co-optimizing charge/discharge for price signals, PUE targets, and SLA risk; integrates with CAISO/ERCOT/PJM/KPX where applicable.

Grid-Aware Dispatch Copilot — Forecast load, renewable output, and prices; recommend dispatch for gensets and batteries to cut curtailment and demand charges.

Interconnection Fast-Track Assistant — LLM agent ingesting utility handbooks, queue data, and site constraints to output siting options, lead times, and risk flags.

SCADA to Anomaly Radar — Real-time ingestion from PV, storage, and thermal assets; detect inverter faults, soiling, DC/AC clipping, state-of-charge drift, and heat-rate issues.

BESS Health & Degradation Tracker — Cell/string-level degradation modeling; dispatch recommendations to extend life and reduce warranty events.

Hybrid Plant Forecaster — Probabilistic generation and storage forecasts; bidding strategies and curtailment minimization.

PPA & Permit Copilot — Draft/mark-up PPAs, interconnection apps, and EPC addenda; clause-level risk scoring and fallback language aligned to US regs and ISO tariffs.

Wind SCADA Anomaly Radar — Detect yaw misalignment, pitch system faults, blade soiling/icing, gearbox/bearing early-warning; push work orders with predicted availability impact.

Offshore O&M and Weather-Window Planner — Combine metocean forecasts, crew/asset schedules, and access limits to optimize turbine service windows and vessel dispatch.

Wake & Layout Optimizer — Integrate LiDAR/SODAR and CFD/wake models to recommend curtailment schemes and dynamic yaw for array-level yield uplift.

PPA & Permit Copilot (VN/KR) — Draft/redline filings and contracts for EVN/NLDC and KPX/KEPCO; surface risk clauses, timelines, and compliance gaps; suggest fallback language.

Infra Deal Screener — Ingest decks/memos; extract IRR, leverage, tenor, covenants, sponsor track record; rank opportunities by risk-adjusted return and mandate fit.

PortCo KPI Generator — Recommend KPIs and reporting cadences by asset type/region; auto-build exec dashboards and data pipelines.

Fund Ops Copilot — Draft LP updates, standardize quarterly letters, and reconcile data across administrators, custodians, and portfolio telemetry.

Map high-value pain points across Pacifico companies and prototype AI solutions in weeks, not months.

Own the full MLOps lifecycle — data ingestion, model selection and fine-tuning, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.

Build secure, scalable back-ends (Python, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph) and clean, intuitive UIs (React/Next.js or Streamlit) so non-technical teams adopt your tools.

Maintain rigorous governance — prompt-injection defenses, audit trails, SOC-2–ready controls, and clear ROI metrics.

Present directly to C-suite and investment committees; translate technical wins into P&L impact.

Mentor future GauntletAI hires as we scale the practice.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, or similar; PhD a plus.

2–5 years of hands-on experience shipping deep-learning or LLM products to production.

Fluency in vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, and prompt engineering.

Solid software-engineering chops — tests, CI/CD, Docker/K8s, GitHub Actions.

Business curiosity: you enjoy decoding commercial models and can frame tech work in EBITDA, IRR, and NPV terms.

Bias toward action in unstructured, high-change environments. You like blank-canvas problems and minimal red tape.

Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief executives and coach end-users.
