Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead and enhance our HR department. The ideal candidate will be a strong people leader with a deep understanding of talent management, employee engagement, organizational development, and compliance. You’ll play a critical role in shaping our culture and ensuring that our people strategy aligns with our business objectives. Responsibilities

Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. Oversee full-cycle recruiting strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent across departments. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, resolve employee relations issues, and champion employee engagement initiatives. Design and implement performance evaluation processes, feedback systems, and career development programs. Oversee competitive compensation strategies, benefits administration, and compliance with federal and state labor laws. Ensure HR policies and procedures are compliant with all relevant labor regulations and internal standards. Oversee internal investigations as needed. Support professional development by identifying skills gaps and implementing training programs. Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and/or Masters in a relevant field. Field related certifications, such as PHR/SPHR/SHRM/CP/P/ODCC/etc., are highly preferred. 8+ years direct People Ops (Human Resources) experience, building and implementing operational programs. 1+ year of talent development, performance management or organizational development. Broad business acumen; able to think strategically, while also focus on results: driving execution and getting hands on in all tactical and operational duties within the HR & People Ops function. A track record of being a People Ops business partner to executives across a variety of functional areas, with demonstrated experience in developing consultative and trusting relationships at all levels of an organization; able to influence and drive change with executive teams and across organizations, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth. Well-versed in Local, State (CA, NY) and Federal laws related to HR & People and dynamic enough to establish flexible governances around ensuring related compliance while remaining flexible and adapting as needed. A self-directed entrepreneurial professional who knows what needs to be done and operates with a sense of urgency, focus and discipline.
