Overview Senior Market Research Manager, Market Strategy & Understanding – Ipsos in US.

Responsibilities

Provides strategic consultation to help clients understand the research questions and methodologies to address key business challenges.

Seeks to understand how research fits into broader category/brand growth plans.

Leads the client to better design despite possible push-back.

Exercises strong leadership skills in interactions with clients.

Builds strong relationships with clients and leverages category/brand expertise to influence the client’s thinking on research design, insights and implications, and overall business decision making.

Identifies opportunities to deliver a more holistic solution by integrating a myriad of relevant knowledge sources.

Qualifications

Completed Bachelor’s Degree; master’s level education an asset.

At least 3+ years of market research experience.

Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite; specifically, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Superior organizational skills, unflagging attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information.

Data savvy with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Basic knowledge of SPSS and/or other quantitative reporting tools a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a strong client service orientation.

Ability to manage complex, multi-faceted project budgets and to create, manage, and commit to a project plan, schedule and budget.

Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines.

Thrives within a team environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills.

About The Team The Market Strategy & Understanding (MSU) Service Line performs strategic research to deliver contextual understanding to help clients navigate dynamic markets. Our offer portfolio includes strategic brand research as well as category & consumer fundamentals. We work with clients to understand market size and composition and the segments/profiles/demand spaces. We also specialize in brand equity, brand assets, brand stretch and open category opportunities (e.g., whitespace).
