Overview The Division of Pediatric Urology in the Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) to join the Division as Associate Professor or Professor in the University Medical Line or University Tenure Line. We are particularly interested in candidates who have an established track record of clinical excellence and scholarship in basic, translational, and/or clinical research related to pediatric urology.

Responsibilities and expectations

Appointment in the University Tenure Line emphasizes a major commitment to research and teaching; in the University Medical Line, excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service.

The successful applicant should have a track record of extramural funding and regionally or nationally recognized scholarship, service to national organizations, and clinical expertise in pediatric urology.

Develop a clinical practice focused on pediatric urology at Stanford Health Care and Stanford Medicine Children’s Health, which may include San Francisco Bay Area outreach sites.

Develop a robust research program with the potential for extramural funding support.

Qualifications

Board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric urologist with an MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent).

Established track record of clinical excellence and scholarship in basic, translational, and/or clinical research related to pediatric urology; extramural funding preferred.

Evidence of service to national organizations and clinical expertise in pediatric urology.

Compensation and benefits The Expected Base Pay Range For This Position Is:

Associate Professor: $422,000 - $458,000

Professor: $486,000 - $566,000

This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
