Overview
We invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the Department of Geophysics, Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability, at Stanford University. We welcome applications from any field of observational, experimental, computational, or theoretical geophysics, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates who can contribute to the department’s strategic research and teaching priorities in the following areas:
Freshwater Geophysics
Geophysics for Sustainable Energy
Earth and Planetary Interiors
Geophysics of the Atmosphere, Oceans, and Cryosphere
Disaster Risk and Extreme Events
This search aims to identify early career scholars who show exceptional promise. We especially encourage applications from individuals who have recently completed a PhD.

Preferred Education: PhD
