Insurance Defense Attorney
in our New York office. Kennedys is a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global firm serving insurers and the London market, and is seeking dynamic and talented attorneys to join its national and international insurance defense practice.
Responsibilities
Propose litigation strategy; communicate with clients and opposing counsel; draft reports, pleadings, discovery, and motions.
Take and defend depositions; argue motions; participate in mediations and trials.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of relevant experience in construction defense of owners and contractors pursuant to New York Labor Law 200, 240(1) and 241(6). Other relevant areas of experience include premises liability, professional liability, negligent security, wrongful death, automobile, and sexual misconduct claims. Candidates must be admitted and in good standing to practice in New York. Additional admissions in other states are a plus.

Compensation and work arrangements Attorney compensation ranges from $125,000 to $185,000 annually, depending on experience, practice group, location, and other factors permitted by law. The firm offers a competitive salary, annual performance-based raises, a discretionary bonus and benefits package. A 1920-hour annual requirement applies. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered.
Requirements Candidates must be admitted and in good standing in New York. Additional admissions in other states are a plus.
