The Director of IT is responsible for leading and managing the organization's technology operations, including infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and compliance. This role oversees IT projects, staff, and vendor relationships to ensure technology solutions effectively support business needs and align with organizational standards. The ideal candidate is a seasoned IT leader with a blend of technical expertise and strong leadership skills. They will be capable of developing and executing IT strategies, policies, and systems that support operational goals and regulatory requirements. This position supports dynamic environments such as engineering, product development, and research, where adaptability and collaboration are key. The Director of IT should thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards for security and compliance. Key Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of technology operations, including infrastructure, business systems, and cybersecurity. Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and systems to support strategic objectives. Lead complex technology initiatives such as system upgrades, software implementations, and process improvements. Assess business requirements across departments to prioritize and deliver effective technology solutions. Evaluate and procure hardware, software, and services to meet organizational needs. Oversee vendor relationships to ensure service quality and cost-effectiveness. Plan and present technology solutions and improvements to senior leadership. Supervise IT staff and external consultants to meet operational and project goals. Manage departmental budgets and report on expenditures and return on investment. Collaborate with stakeholders to document and enhance business system processes. Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal controls. Promote cybersecurity best practices and maintain a secure technology environment. Uphold company policies related to safety, equal opportunity, and workplace standards. Required Skills & Abilities

Experience standing up/change managing an IT Department Experience managing multiple projects within scope, time, and budget. Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10+ yrs experience in Information Technology management experience Experience implementing and managing enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, MRP). Experience building IT Infrastructure from the ground up Familiarity with supporting technical teams and product development workflows. Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and cybersecurity principles. Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor management. Demonstrated success in managing IT operations within a regulated or structured environment. Supervisory Responsibilities

Responsible for hiring, managing, and evaluating of all IT department staff. Seniority level
