We are entering a rapid growth phase and seeking a high-impact finance leader to guide our financial strategy and operations as the company scales. The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic CFO to join our executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this critical role will be instrumental in driving our financial strategy, ensuring robust financial operations, and positioning the company for continued rapid growth and future fundraising success. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned finance leader with a proven track record of success in scaling tech and/or healthcare companies. This individual must be both a strategic thinker with ambitious goals and a hands-on operator deeply involved in day-to-day accounting, controller functions, and financial planning. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact and shape the financial future of a rapidly growing and impactful organization. Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership and Strategy

Partner with the CEO to develop and execute the company\'s overall financial strategy, aligning it with the ambitious growth targets. Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making across all departments. Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, providing clear and actionable financial projections. Monitor financial performance against budget and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and implementing corrective actions. Develop and track key financial metrics to drive business performance and inform strategic decisions.

Controller Functions and Accounting Operations

Oversee all aspects of the company\'s accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Implement and maintain a strong internal control environment. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial service providers.

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

Build and maintain sophisticated financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning. Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities and risks, providing actionable insights to the leadership team. Develop and present financial reports and presentations to the CEO, the Board of Directors, and potentially future investors. Analyze customer profitability, product performance, and other key business drivers.

Investor Relations and Future Fundraising

Develop and maintain strong relationships with current and potential future investors, effectively communicating the company\'s financial performance and growth strategy. Lead or actively participate in future fundraising efforts, including due diligence and investor presentations. Prepare compelling financial projections and investor materials.

Customer Relationship Management (Financial Aspects)

Collaborate with sales and customer success teams on financial aspects of customer relationships, including pricing, contract terms, and revenue recognition. Develop and implement strategies to optimize customer profitability.

Negotiation and Problem Solving

Demonstrate strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors, partners, and other stakeholders. Exhibit a proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, finding creative solutions to financial challenges.

Leadership and Team Development

Potentially build and mentor a high-performing finance team as the company grows in the future. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Strategic Alignment and Execution

Work closely with the CEO to align financial strategy with the overall business objectives. Demonstrate a "do whatever it takes" attitude to protect and advance the company\'s interests, always operating with the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications

You must currently be located in the Seattle Metro Region or willing to relocate at time of employment. Able to work hybrid on-site a minimum of three days at our Bellevue location. Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred. Minimum of 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in a leadership role (Controller, VP of Finance, CFO, or similar). Proven track record of success in scaling finance functions within high-growth technology and/or healthcare SaaS companies. Deep understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences. Strong experience in managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors. Demonstrated experience in leading or actively participating in fundraising processes. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes. High level of integrity, ethical standards, and a commitment to doing the right thing. A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment. Experience building and managing finance teams is a plus. Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and financial practices is highly desirable.
