Annual Bonus Direct message the job poster from The Princeton Group Were working with a leading enterprise organization in Miami thats building out its cyber defense team. Theyre looking for an VP, Incident Response & Threat Detection Engineer who can do more than just monitor alerts someone who can write their own detection logic, build custom cases, and take ownership of incident response from start to finish. This is a hybrid role 3 days onsite in Miami where youll join a collaborative security team that values knowledge-sharing, continuous improvement, and a positive culture. What Youll Be Doing: Develop and tune custom detection logic in Splunk to identify emerging threats. Lead and execute incident response across the enterprise environment. Leverage CrowdStrike for endpoint detection, investigation, and containment. Collaborate with SOC analysts to triage and escalate complex cases. Create playbooks, automate response workflows, and refine detection rules. Partner with engineering and IT teams to harden systems and reduce attack surface. What Were Looking For: Hands-on experience in incident response and threat detection within an enterprise environment. Strong expertise with Splunk (custom logic, queries, correlation rules, dashboards). Practical experience with CrowdStrike Falcon for endpoint detection and response. Ability to write and optimize your own detection logic and response cases. Strong analytical skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
