Overview
Dalton is seeking an Art Director in our Atlanta office to lead bold, integrated campaigns across digital, social, print, video, and experiential. In this role, you’ll concept and direct big ideas, guide designers and junior creatives, oversee shoots, and present work that inspires clients and teams alike, all while pushing creative boundaries and delivering results.
What you'll be doing in the role
Lead the visual development of integrated campaigns across digital, social, video, print, and experiential platforms
Translate client business goals and brand strategy into bold, innovative creative concepts.
Partner closely with copywriters, strategists, and account leads to shape campaign ideas from pitch to production
Provide clear creative direction, mentorship, and feedback to designers, editors, junior art directors, and freelancers
Ensure all creative output meets the agency’s standards for originality, craft, and effectiveness.
Oversee photo and video shoots, including directing photographers, stylists, editors, and motion teams
Present concepts and final work persuasively to clients, articulating rationale and creative strategy.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing high-level vision with attention to detail
Stay ahead of design, tech, and cultural trends to bring fresh, modern ideas into the work
Foster a collaborative, positive, and inspiring creative culture within the team
What you'll bring to the role
5+ years of experience in art direction, design, or related creative roles, preferably within an advertising or creative agency
Bachelor’s degree in design, advertising, fine arts, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Strong portfolio showcasing integrated campaign work across digital, social, video, experiential, and traditional channels
High-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
Experience leading photo and video shoots, from pre-production through post
Strong presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative thinking to clients and internal teams
Collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring and inspiring junior creatives
