We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Legal Counsel
to join our legal team and support our operations in New Jersey and across North America. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those governing the online gambling industry, and will provide strategic legal advice to key stakeholders within the company.
Responsibilities
Provide legal support and strategic advice on all matters related to the company’s operations in New Jersey and the broader North American market
Advise on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters, with a strong focus on online gambling compliance
Interface with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) and other regulatory authorities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including supplier, licensing, and partnership agreements
Monitor and interpret evolving laws and regulations affecting the online gambling sector
Support the licensing processes and regulatory filings across jurisdictions
Collaborate with internal departments including Compliance, Operations, and Executive Management
Assist in managing external counsel relationships as needed
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school and active license to practice law in New Jersey
5–10 years of post-qualification legal experience
Demonstrated expertise in corporate and commercial law
In-depth experience with U.S. online gambling laws, specifically in New Jersey
Prior direct engagement with the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) is required
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards within the online gambling industry
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Preferred Qualifications
Prior in-house legal experience with a gaming operator or supplier
Familiarity with other North American gaming jurisdictions
