Position Overview
The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for managing financial reporting and accounting operations for a multifamily real estate portfolio. This role ensures accurate financial statements, maintains compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supports cross-functional teams through timely analysis and reporting. Location
Boston, MA Hybrid Key Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly financials with variance analysis and commentary. Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and classification. Post year-end adjustments and ensure proper closeout of financials. Review capital expenditures. Resolve reconciling items in bank and balance sheet accounts. Support lender reporting and debt compliance requirements. Approve and code invoices; oversee accounts payable in Yardi. Coordinate with auditors, prepare schedules, and address requests. Support accounting for acquisitions and dispositions. Collaborate with internal teams and third-party stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 5 years of property accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting. Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel preferred.
Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Additional compensation types
