Position Overview
The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for managing financial reporting and accounting operations for a multifamily real estate portfolio. This role ensures accurate financial statements, maintains compliance with tax and regulatory requirements, and supports cross-functional teams through timely analysis and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly financials with variance analysis and commentary.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts for accuracy and classification.
- Post year-end adjustments and ensure proper closeout of financials.
- Review capital expenditures.
- Resolve reconciling items in bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Support lender reporting and debt compliance requirements.
- Approve and code invoices; oversee accounts payable in Yardi.
- Coordinate with auditors, prepare schedules, and address requests.
- Support accounting for acquisitions and dispositions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of property accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and real estate accounting.
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel preferred.
Base pay range
$90,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr
