Design and conduct technical training sessions for Revenue Metering personnel Utilize both theoretical and practical instructional approaches Support field and meter lab employee training, including AMI project initiatives in EMA and WMA Participate in the evaluation and testing of new tools, materials, and equipment Maintain and revise standards and procedures to reflect current best practices Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure compliance and performance Oversee supervision evaluations and certification of field employees Essential Functions
Works with field personnel and supervisors to analyze job tasks and current field performance to determine training needs and program content. Effectively implements training programs, assessments, and employee evaluations. Supervises, directs and instructs trainees during classroom, hands-on training assignments. Evaluates performance during training and follows up on students learning through field visits, observations and refresher training. Incorporates new procedures and new equipment into training programs. Develops and maintains annual training schedules and communicates schedules to stakeholders as necessary. Qualifications
Technical Knowledge/Skill: Requires knowledge of utility revenue metering design, operations, maintenance, and construction principles and practices, safety standards and business processes. Excellent communication skills, ability to present theory and concepts, as well as hands-on technical instruction with clarity, confidence and enthusiasm. Requires leadership and coaching abilities. Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g. Microsoft Word & Excel). Working knowledge of labor contracts. Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience Experience
Five (5) plus years of experience in Transmission, Distribution and/or Field Service design and/or installation, servicing customers and supervising employees Competencies
