Lead mechanical concept development and evaluation during early-phase technology investigations, ensuring alignment with system architecture and user needs. Collaborate cross-functionally (electronics, embedded systems, software, PMO) to support seamless integration from concept through product/platform realization. Facilitate transition from feasibility to product development, including documentation and effective cross-team handoffs. Define and evolve system architectures for new technology platforms, ensuring alignment with product and business needs. Collaborate with engineering teams (ME, Software, Embedded Systems, Hardware) and PMO to develop scalable and future-ready technology solutions. Translate product requirements into architectural outlines and high-level specifications. Drive architectural reviews and technical risk assessments for early-stage innovations. Act as a technical liaison between engineering, program management, and product management functions. Maintain system-level documentation, architecture models, and interface specifications. This position requires an on-site presence at our Woburn, MA office. Your Background

B.S. or M.S. degree in systems engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience in product development/management or system architecture roles. Proven experience with system-level architecture and cross-disciplinary product development. Strong understanding of embedded systems, software architecture, and hardware integration. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills. Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed R&D organization. Bonus Skills

Background in laboratory automation, diagnostics, or life science instrumentation. Prior exposure to technology platform development or feasibility-phase innovation. Seniority level
