ST. MARK UNITED METHODIST CHURCH – CHARLESTON, S.C., 413 Geddes Ave., Charleston, S.C. 29407 It is expected that the Music Director is of high moral character, called by God, dedicated to God’s service, and committed to the ministry of Jesus Christ through his church. The Music Director’s tenure is under the jurisdiction of the SPRC/PPRC committee, but functions under the guidance of the Pastor. The Music Director’s main areas of responsibility are Chancel, Praise, and Handbell Choirs. The Music Director acts as accompanist, pianist, keyboard, or organ for choir practice and worship experiences. The Music Director will select the music for all choirs. The general direction in style and content of the music will be provided by the Pastor. The Music Director will work with volunteers, supervising all organization responsibilities (robes, music library, telephoning, recruitment, etc.). Safe Sanctuary: Become familiar with and help implement Safe Sanctuary Policy. Worship Service Sunday morning (10:30 a.m.), Holy Week, Christmas Eve, and other special services when planned. 10 to 12 hours per week.
