Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity group. This position offers an opportunity to work on high-profile corporate transactions, including private equity and M&A matters, within a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Duties:
Handle corporate transactional matters, with a focus on private equity and mergers & acquisitions.
Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents.
Conduct due diligence and advise clients on corporate governance and compliance matters.
Work closely with clients and other team members to structure and execute deals effectively.
Provide strategic counsel on legal and business issues related to transactions.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in corporate transactional work.
Specialized experience in private equity and/or M&A transactions.
Prior experience at a nationally recognized law firm.
Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills.
Client-focused and team-oriented approach.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active bar membership in Illinois or the ability to obtain admission.
Skills:
Excellent legal research and writing abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
