Location: Houston, TexasReports to: Houston Manufacturing SupervisorCollaborates with: Welding, Fabrication, Substrate Assembly, ShippingPrimary Responsibility: The Material Handler Lead assists the fabrication and welding teams in a manufacturing setting, leads the material team, and coordinates with leadership on goals. The prepping of materials, accurate inventory counts, knowledge of parts' locations, receiving process, and staging job orders is essential in the flow of customer orders throughout the building as well as improves labor performance of departmental teams.Shift: 1st Shift Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 3:00 pm with overtime as necessary; sometimes required.What's in it for You:Health, Dental & Vision InsuranceAnnual Bonus Program$350 Annual Wellness CreditFlexible Spending Account (FSA)401k with match up to 5%Life insuranceDisability insurance5 days of paid sick leave annually (prorated based on start date)12 days PTO annually (prorated based on start date)$350 Production Reimbursement ProgramWhat You'll Do:Load, unload, and transport materials and products to and from production areas, warehouses, or storage locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.Ensure the timely and accurate movement of materials and products throughout the facility.Safely stack, organize, and store materials in designated areas.Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to verify contents and quality. Maintain accurate records of materials, inventory counts, and transactions.Assist in keeping the warehouse and production areas clean and organized.Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to ensure materials are readily available to meet production schedules.Operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery in a safe and controlled manner.Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Conduct routine checks and maintenance on material handling equipment.What Qualifies You:High School DiplomaAbility to handle metal parts and insulation and be physically sound for repetitive bending and liftingAbility to count, calculate, read warehouse map with bin locationsAbility to work independently and complete duties and projects with little direct supervisionExcellent verbal communication skillsKnowledge of safe workplace practicesPrior forklift experience preferredPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and heavier items with team liftStanding, bending, and walking for extended periods of timeEqual Opportunity: MIRATECH is an equal opportunity employer and supports a diverse and inclusive workforce.
