Ag. Equipment Operator
This job order is for a temporary/seasonal position in Medford, Oklahoma. Dates of contract: 5-1-25 to . Schedule: Sunday to Saturday / Monday & Tuesday 9 hrs, Wed to Sat 8hrs, Sunday 5hrs.
Duties: Worker may be required to perform any duties common to a Custom Harvester found in SOC Code Agricultural Equipment Operator and as outlined at 20 CFR 655.301 such as and not limited to:
- Operate self-propelled equipment such as combines and tractors that reap, harvest, thresh, swath, or winnow crops such as wheat (harvest is May-July) and soybeans (harvest is August-October)
- Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery including threshing and GPS settings
- Perform safety checks on equipment
- Operate equipment such as augers, grain carts, fuel/service trailers
- Be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs
- Maintain and operate grain processor clipper and processor
- Work in hot and dusty conditions using a shovel
- Perform end of season cleaning, repairing, and maintenance on equipment
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- Transport harvested crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas, and transport equipment and other tools used for harvesting from one field to another
- Record information about crops such as yields
- No smoking on the jobsites
- Personal cell phone use is limited while clocked in and cannot interfere with performing your job duties
Workers Requirements: Three (3) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Pay: $15.79 - FLSA exempt: no overtime paid
