A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a
Corporate Aviation Of Counsel
with over 10 years of experience managing sophisticated aviation transactions. This role involves working with a wide range of clients including airlines, corporate aircraft owners, leasing companies, and high-net-worth individuals. The attorney will advise on matters related to aircraft acquisition, financing, operations, tax structuring, and regulatory compliance. This position is open to candidates in any of the firm’s U.S. offices. The opportunity is presented by a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the hiring firm. Location: Duties: Serve as lead counsel on complex aircraft transactions including purchase, sale, lease, and financing Advise clients on regulatory compliance with FAA and other relevant authorities Provide strategic guidance on federal, state, and local tax considerations in aviation deals Draft, negotiate, and review documentation related to aircraft acquisition, financing, maintenance, and customization Counsel clients on operational structures for corporate and private aircraft ownership Manage high-level transactions involving aircraft ranging from small general aviation to Boeing 747-800 and Boeing 787 VIP U.S. and international airlines High-net-worth individuals Financial institutions Aircraft manufacturers and suppliers Operate independently in client-facing and strategic advisory capacities Requirements: At least 10 years of legal experience focused on corporate aviation transactions Proven ability to independently advise and manage client matters Strong understanding of aircraft operations, ownership structures, and FAA compliance Experience with both U.S. and international aviation transactions Active bar license in the jurisdiction of the desired office location Portable book of business is strongly preferred Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Certifications: Active and in-good-standing bar membership in one of the listed office states Skills: Advanced transactional drafting and negotiation FAA regulatory expertise Tax planning related to aviation transactions Strategic legal advising and client management Detail-oriented and efficient multitasker Ability to navigate complex cross-border and domestic aviation issues Bonus incentives tied to performance and business development Full benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Short- and long-term disability insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan Flexible spending accounts (healthcare and dependent care) Health savings account (HSA) Firm-subsidized emergency child and elder care Family and medical leave Pre-tax transportation program Employee assistance program (EAP) Company info BCG Attorney Search 200 South Wacker Drive, 31st Floor Chicago Illinois United States 60606 Phone :
