Mechanical Project Engineer
located in the
San Diego, CA
area. With nearly a century of experience, they prioritize safety and offer industry-leading services including building information modeling (BIM), design/build solutions, sustainable practices, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. Duties & Responsibilities
Project estimating (take-off & analysis) Project scheduling (manpower scheduling) Managing RFIs (Requests for Information) Preparing submittal packages Managing flow of contractor-provided submittal data Assisting in data population of forms Preparing project progress billings Technical analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving of HVAC air equipment, piping systems, and HVAC & plumbing equipment Qualifications & Requirements
Basic working knowledge of HVAC & plumbing design and system operation Understanding of commercial & industrial construction sequences Basic knowledge of construction estimating and testing procedures for HVAC systems Familiarity with ASHRAE data & guidelines Proficiency with MS Project, MS Access or other database programs, MS Excel & Word, and internet research Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills for handling and archiving technical data Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering, or 5+ years industry experience as a Construction Project Engineer Experience with project administration, scheduling, productivity analysis, cost control, and procurement The company offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including 401-K, health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance, along with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation.
