POSITION SUMMARY: The bartender is accountable for making, mixing, pouring and creating alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages for the guests of the bar and restaurant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Live and uphold Electric Hospitality values and culture. Prepare guests drinks as ordered. Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol. Adheres to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintains appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all beverage items. Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations Take drink (and sometimes food) orders from guests seated at the bar or from servers. Input orders into the POS system. Slice fruit or other garnishes for drinks. Clean bar and arrange glasses for an attractive bar display. Prepare bill and accept payment from guest. Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking/dining experience. Communicate effectively and courteously with guests, and co-workers. Perform calmly and effectively under stressful conditions. Assists the team as needed to optimize the guest's dining experience. QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

Valid certification for serving alcohol. Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings Proper communication skills to connect effectively with co-workers and guests. Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support our values and culture. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Must meet the state minimum age to serve alcohol. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 15 hours a week. Ability to stand/walk for 8-10 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Will frequently stand, walk, reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data. Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors. Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic. Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, and soy. Report to work in a complete required uniform. Maintain a well-manicured appearance and persona that reflects the image of the restaurant. Meet personal schedule requirements punctually.
