1ST SHIFT SCHEDULE

IMMEDIATE HIRING NEED

The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating production workflow for multiple production areas by scheduling jobs and prioritizing work orders. They will be working closely with supervisors on the production floor, monitoring jobs, addressing delays, schedule changes, and other issues that arise to ensure on-time delivery goals are met.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Establish production schedule for multiple production areas which may include sheet metal fabrication, assembly lines, and sub-assemblies 2. Collaborate with Area Manager, Production Supervisor, and Manufacturing Engineers driving daily improvements tied to the area's SQDC Key Performance Indicators. 3. Monitor the production schedule daily and make adjustments when and where needed 4. Resolve material availability issues for jobs 5. Release work orders in the ERP system 6. Set optimal lot sizes and reorder points on manufactured parts 7. Work MRP exception messages to ensure supply and demand are in line 8. Maintain finished goods and component stocking levels to ensure future demand is covered 9. Daily monitoring of work in process (WIP) 10. Participate on cross functional teams with goals of hazard reductions, quality improvements, cost reduction, lead time improvements 11. Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: •Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field •3-5 years of scheduling or planning experience in a manufacturing environment •Ability to work directly on the shop floor •Experience with Epicor ERP system preferred •Experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning) •Previous experience in a manufacturing environment •Basic understanding of BOMs, Routings, and Master Data •Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks •Advanced MS Excel skills, such as pivot tables, charting, formulas, and macros •Lean manufacturing knowledge and practical application •Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions •Proactive communication with both internal and external customers as issues occur •Ability to work in a team environment with solid and dotted-line reporting structures •APICS CPIM certification preferred
