Key Skilled Personnel
Job Title: Painter Industrial Equipment
Shift: 1st Shift - Mon thru Fri (6:00am - 2:30pm)
Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Responsibilities: Paint company products using: • Airless paint system • Pressure Pots • Spray Guns • Rollers and Brushes
Prepare surfaces for painting by: • Sanding, cleaning blasted surface • Sanding and cleaning painted surfaces that require another coat • Masking the areas that will not be painted with masking tape, masking paper and plastic lining
Perform quality checks regularly and perform touch ups, when necessary, by: • Looking for "fish eye" • Looking for under sprays • Looking for run downs • Looking for scratches • Checking for proper cure
Understand each project by: • Studying and comprehending the specs for every job • Keeping a binder with the specs for quick reference • Studying and comprehending product data sheets (PDS) and Manufacturers Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) • Keeping a binder for (PDS) and (MSDS)
Keep track of paint used and report to the office every day by:
Keeping a paint use log. Maintaining the log every day. Perform tests (DFT, WFT, Holliday test, etc.) if necessary for paint reports, or quality assurance, and report results to the office. Responsible for safe use and storage of the equipment. Maintenance of all paint equipment. Perform cleaning of the lines and the equipment used after every paint job. Keep the paint area and the paint booth area clean and organized. Properly dispose of used paint and solvents. Take 5S ownership of the paint area. Keep track of use, and periodically check the quality of the paint booth filters. Perform filter change if necessary.
Qualifications
Experience using HVLP, Airless, gravity gun, etc. Understanding what type of cleaning procedures and solvents to use with various types of paint. Knowledge of all equipment used in the paint department, and mechanics of paint equipment. Ability to disassemble, assemble, and perform basic maintenance on paint equipment. Knowledge of proper disposal of used paint and solvents. Dependable Transportation Available for Overtime and Saturday Work as Needed
