Position Summary We are on the lookout for a skilled and enthusiastic Heavy Equipment Operator who is keen to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Strictly observe and follow all safety protocols, including site-specific plans, when conducting cleanup activities and wearing protective gear. Expertly operate commonly used tools and heavy equipment. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of assigned machinery. Efficiently load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers. Accurately complete necessary paperwork, forms, and records as needed. Maintain an excellent driving history. Load haul trucks safely and effectively. Experience in underground tank removal and remediation is a plus. Essential Skills and Abilities Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to follow directions and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Experience in the Environmental Remediation industry is highly advantageous. Certification in environmental and hazardous waste management per OSHA 1910.120 (e.g., OSHA 40hr HAZWOPER) is required. Demonstrated experience in heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Willingness to travel extensively as needed. Completion of OSHA 10 and 30-hour training is preferred. Education and Experience A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated heavy equipment operation, particularly with excavators and skid steers. Prior experience in the Environmental Remediation sector is advantageous. Valid Driver's License is required. Physical/Environmental Requirements Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions. Willingness to work in environments that include low clearance, confined spaces, and at heights. Travel will be a part of the job requirements.
