Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Obstetrics RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Valid Nursing License Certifications: NRP, STABLE, Fetal Monitoring (Intermediate or above) Must-Have: Labor-trained Description: We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our busy obstetrics department. This role involves providing high-quality care for women and their newborns throughout labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns is a key responsibility. Conduct triage and non-stress tests (NSTs). Serve as the second nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients. Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent, patient-centered care. Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or recovery. A fast-paced environment allows for caring for women and newborn infants after childbirth. This position plays a critical role in guiding patients through the childbirth and postpartum journey. The work setting is team-oriented with strong interdisciplinary collaboration.
