POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to support operations in a quarry, crusher, and plant environment. This role involves operating a variety of heavy machinery-including loaders, excavators, dozers, and skid steers-while performing general labor and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial background, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to work in physically demanding conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Equipment Operation Perform operations of Heavy Equipment such as Loaders and Excavators and know its controls, safety features, maintenance attributes and Inspection Policy. Continuously observe, monitor, and report any condition that could lead to equipment failure or a safety hazard. Perform General Labor in all operational areas of the Crusher, Quarry and Plant. Clean bins, conveyers, spills, material from under conveyers and catwalks, and other cleaning duties as assigned. Ability to be trained in the operation of other support Heavy Equipment including, Dozer, Crusher, Skid Steer, Wheel Loader, Manlift, Grader, Crawler Dozer and any other Heavy Equipment necessary in a safe manner. Assist Maintenance in preventative care and minor repairs of equipment used. Assist in major maintenance outage work, as needed. Learn other various labor or equipment positions and cross-train in these areas of the Quarry, Crusher and Plant as needed. Responsible for completing equipment and work area inspections. Perform all assigned work adhering to Company and governmental safety rules and regulation and follow company lock out tag out procedures. Perform all assigned work in a neat and orderly manner adhering to Company and governmental safety rules and regulations. Know and follow lock out tag out procedures. Understand safe operation of equipment including forklift, bobcat, and tractor. Must have a high regard for other's safety in the field. Proper PPE attire must be worn as required. Understand the chemical reaction and safety hazards associated with ATTRIBUTES:

Industrial background with excellent driving skills. Knowledgeable in large haul truck safety inspections, monitoring of maintenance conditions, MSHA rules and regulations, company policy regarding safe equipment operations, pre-inspection checklists. Previous experience operating heavy equipment is desired. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required. Must be able to work shift work, seven days a week including holidays and be flexible to schedule changes, including overtime. Must have a telephone and be open to call-outs. Tolerate working outside in severe weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust. Effectively communicate and interact with supervisors, managers, and peers. PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Must be physically able to perform work assigned. Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations. Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 150 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. Will be working at times in covered environment but mainly in a lime/mineral environment. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Lime/Mineral Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting. Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds.

Hourly Rate:

$34.86

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1-3 years prior industrial experience.

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:

Prior haul truck experience preferred.
