We are looking for a compassionate
Van Driver/Programming/Activity Assistant
to join our team! The Van Driver/Programming/Activity Assistant is responsible for providing transportation for community residents. S/he assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing all activities requiring van transportation, as appropriate. Also, ensuring areas are set up for each program on a daily basis.
Responsibilities Maintains a current understanding of procedures if an accident should occur with the van, with or without residents on board Follows proper reporting procedures Ensure common rooms, tables and chairs are set up properly and supplies are staged in advance of various resident programs Ensure all common areas of independent living are maintained in neat order Completes assignments in a timely manner while managing multiple duties and responsibilities Demonstrates flexibility and the ability to work in an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration Must be hands-on with residents getting into and out of van to ensure their safety Acts as Activity Assistant when on excursions; stays with group at all times except for when parking the van Requirements
Have a demonstrated interest in the elderly and are knowledgeable of servicing their needs. Possess excellent communication skills. Valid driver's license with clean driving record As a community associate at Benchmark, you will have access to a variety of
