Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Site Superintendent overseeing large-scale, high-end residential construction projects in the Washington DC metropolitan area. You'll have complete responsibility for field operations, ensuring projects are executed to the highest quality standards while maintaining schedules and budgets. This leadership role offers autonomy and direct impact in a growing company where your expertise will shape project outcomes and mentor emerging talent.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all on-site construction activities for large residential projects ($1M+ value)

Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors and trade professionals

Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements

Conduct daily quality control inspections and enforce craftsmanship standards

Maintain project schedules and communicate progress to project management team

Resolve field issues and coordinate design changes with architects and engineers

Manage material deliveries, logistics, and site organization

Lead safety programs and maintain OSHA compliance

Interface directly with high-end clients regarding construction progress

Mentor junior staff and subcontractor personnel

Conduct final walkthroughs and coordinate punch list completion

Required Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 7-10 years construction supervision experience

Project Scale:

Proven track record managing residential projects $1M+ value

Leadership:

Strong crew management and subcontractor coordination skills

Quality Focus:

Experience with high-end residential construction standards

Technical Skills:

Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and details

Communication:

Excellent interpersonal skills for client and team interactions

Technology:

Proficiency with construction management software and mobile applications

Licensing:

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Safety:

Current OSHA 30-Hour certification (or willingness to obtain immediately)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with luxury custom homes, high-end renovations, or premium residential projects

Knowledge of DMV area building codes, permit processes, and inspection requirements

Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods

Familiarity with high-end finishes, millwork, and specialty construction systems

Previous experience working directly with architects, designers, and affluent clientele

Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred for crew communication)

Additional safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, scaffolding, crane operation)
