Apply a comprehensive, specialist level knowledge of contract lifecycle management to set and drive a service management-centric strategy for Enterprise Contracting Center (ECC) contracts team(s); ensure consistent application of guidance in providing advice or other solutions to ECC and business-area professionals; ensure contracting processes are followed by contract managers per business, Risk Management, Independence, and Office of General Counsel requirements Strategically contribute to ECC goals by participating in the development and execution of tactical plans that improve client service, create incremental client value, reduce costs, and enable process re-engineering Direct or be a primary contributor on multiple key projects, programs, and initiatives requiring advanced contract management knowledge and negotiation skills; make independent decisions on high-risk, complex matters; identify process improvements and drive innovations that create client value and efficiencies Regularly interface with partners and professionals to champion ECC's value and to present the firm positively to client organizations Establish credibility as a key advisor by advising on terms to improve client service, assessing professional practice/regulatory risks, and providing guidance on intellectual property protection and other key terms Provide active coaching, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing with junior staff; may have people-management responsibility for a mid-sized to small team of entry-level through intermediate-level professionals Qualifications
Minimum ten years of experience in contract management, procurement, and/or deal desk leading negotiation of complex contracts and overseeing a team of contract management professionals, preferably in the professional services industry in Federal, SLG or commercial contracting Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; master's degree preferred Ability to manage multiple concurrent programs, applying expertise to make concrete decisions that impact the firm; strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management practices and ability to understand legal matters Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills to lead a customer-service oriented environment; ability to direct, motivate, and empower others to achieve organizational goals Certified in Contract Management, such as NCMA, preferred Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future Job details
