KPMG is currently seeking a Director to join our Enterprise Contracting Center: State & Local Government Team organization.
Responsibilities
Apply comprehensive, specialist knowledge of contract lifecycle management to set and drive a service-management-centric strategy for ECC contracts teams; ensure consistent application of guidance in providing advice or other solutions to ECC and business-area professionals; ensure contracting processes are followed by contract managers per business, Risk Management, Independence, and Office of General Counsel requirements.
Contribute strategically to ECC goals and priorities by participating in the development and execution of tactical plans that improve client service, create incremental client value, reduce costs, and improve processes.
Direct or contribute as a primary on multiple high-impact projects requiring advanced contract management knowledge and negotiation skills; make independent decisions on high-risk, complex matters; identify process-improvement opportunities and contribute to innovation through enhancements that create client value, efficiency, and quality.
Regularly interface with partners and professionals to champion ECC's value to the firm and with client executives to establish a positive initial impression of the firm.
Provide credible advisory input to improve client service based on understanding of long-term client needs; assess and mitigate professional practice/regulatory risks; provide guidance on IP protection and other key terms to support leadership decisions.
Provide coaching and knowledge-sharing with junior staff, manage and review their work product, and contribute to staffing plans and resource deployment for projects (may include people-management of a mid-sized to small team).
Qualifications
Minimum ten years of recent experience in contract management, procurement, and/or deal desk leadership of complex contracts, with oversight of contract-management professionals, preferably in professional services in Federal, SLG or commercial contracting.
Bachelor's degree required; master's degree preferred.
Strong ability to manage multiple programs, apply expert contract lifecycle management practices, and understand legal matters; excellent verbal/written communication, collaboration, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Ability to lead in a customer-service and teamwork-driven environment; capable of directing, motivating and empowering others to achieve organizational goals and efficiently allocate resources.
Certified in Contract Management (NCMA) preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (no sponsorship available for H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-3, H-1B1, F-1, J-1, OPT or other employment-based visas).
