Senior Test Engineer (Remote Eligible, U.S.)

In this role, the Engineer will provide day-to-day support of GVH projects and assist in the development of the Equipment Qualification Programs to meet the established regulatory requirements. Works in close consultation with Engineering staff to ensure regulatory requirements are identified and implemented in accordance with GVH design and licensing strategy. Assists in defining and executing the design and licensing strategy for Equipment Qualification Programs and participates in interactions with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission including pre-application discussions, preparing/reviewing topical reports and other reactor licensing documentation, and responding to requests for additional information. Essential Responsibilities
Assisting in the successful design and implementation of the equipment qualification program. Coordinating with design personnel to ensure new designs and design changes meet Equipment Qualification Program regulatory requirements. Preparing, reviewing, and maintaining licensing documentation in compliance with Equipment Qualification Programs, regulations and strict quality assurance standards. Interfacing with technical discipline teams at GVH, partners and contractors. Reviewing correspondence to and from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Assisting with safety analysis report (SAR) revisions and preparation. Preparing or reviewing equipment qualification regulatory evaluations. Have excellent technical problem solving skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions (i.e. common sense approach, not embarrassed to ask the obvious questions). Demonstrate ownership, proactively communicate, and deliver assignments on time. Prepare and present technical data to co-workers and customers. Perform qualification tests and maintain a high level of accuracy when recording data and preparing test reports. Be willing to occasionally travel domestically and internationally to support customer / supplier meetings. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation and Controls Engineering or related technical field from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience. 5 years applicable experience in development and implementation of equipment qualification. The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. Willingness to travel to domestic customer and test locations. Expect a maximum of 10% travel. Desired Qualifications

Strong working knowledge of measurement devices and calibration processes. Ability to work effectively in cross-organizational teams and with suppliers Experience writing Technical Documents. Knowledge or become knowledgeable in various environmental test specifications and guides like MIL STDs, IEC, IEEE and NRC Regulatory Guides. Ability to contribute to the equipment qualification program development from blank sheet to final qualification. Knowledge of and how to implement IEEE Standards such as IEEE-323, 344, 420 and 7-4.3.2. Experience or familiarity with NEI 18-04 and Regulatory Guide 1.233. Experience or familiarity with Regulatory Guides associated with Equipment Environmental Qualification. Direct experience with vendor test facilities. Awareness and current knowledge of trends and nuclear industry activities related to equipment qualification. Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards. Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this position is $112 - $160K. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 6/27/25. The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
