St. Louis County Government's Department of Information Technology seeks to hire for the position of

Network Analyst . This individual will support information technology (IT) network, telephony, security directives, and other applicable laws and regulations by addressing complex issues. Addressing complex issues distinguishes this job class from IT37-Associate Security / Network Analyst. The starting salary range for this position is between $33.17 - $39.80 hourly, depending upon the candidate's qualifications as well as budgetary considerations. Perform identification, remediation, and documentation of network systems. Perform detailed analysis of computer network systems to determine current impacts and assist County IT team to coordinate remediation actions. Proactively research and monitor networking resources-related information sources to aid in the identification of better communication throughout the County. Support implementation and design of local and wide area network infrastructure and application components, including management of telephony infrastructure. Perform network monitoring/management, real-time support, and incident resolution. Evaluate gaps in networking systems and identify solutions to mitigate risk, including business processes, technical controls, or policy improvements. Build collaborative internal relationships with program and project teams, as well as external relationships with customers, regulatory bodies, other agencies, and business partners. Collaborate with partners and vendors to develop and implement innovative strategies for the County. Assist, support, and deploy networking systems with vendors, internal and external users, and other resources to assess and develop technical network solutions. Maintain current knowledge of best practices, standards, trends, and developments in the security and network analyst fields. Innovate and automate reporting and other requirements. Assist in the documentation of all network resources throughout the County. Provide good customer service and follow-up. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Minimum Qualifications

Equivalent to an Associate's Degree in an Information Technology (IT) discipline. At least two years of relevant experience. Preference may be given to applicants with: Completed CompTIA's Security+ certification and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center). Experience with routers, routing, switches, IP, command line programming, network connections, cables. Selection and Appointment

A selection committee will evaluate each applicant's qualifications, including education, experience, responses to supplemental questions, employment references, and other relevant information. Only the most qualified candidates will be admitted to the interview process, which will constitute 100% of the final grade. A minimum score of 70 is required to qualify for appointment. After interviews, the top five candidates will be certified to the Department Director for final decision. All conditional offers are contingent upon passing a drug screening at the Countys expense.
