is based in Washington, DC. This position supports the Due Diligence and Investigations (DD&I) practice. The successful candidate will conduct investigative research and analysis using open sources and proprietary resources to identify and report pertinent regulatory and reputational matters related to our clients’ distributors, agents, and other third parties. This is an ideal role for an early-career candidate with an interest in regulatory and sanctions compliance, OSINT technologies, and data visualization. Candidates may be asked to complete a diagnostic test to assess research, writing, and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

Monitor international media coverage using open-source and proprietary data sources to gather coverage from print, digital, television, radio, and social media.

Produce concise, client-ready deliverables and sources of information.

Manage multiple client-specific requests with competing deadlines.

Conduct detailed research on entities and/or individuals of interest.

Process and store sensitive information, including PII, in accordance with Information Management System policies.

Promptly report potential security incidents to the Information Technology team.

Qualifications The ideal candidate for the

Monitoring Analyst, Compliance Risk & Due Diligence

position will possess the following:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in international relations, political science, criminology, regional studies, business, or related area of study.

Experience:

At least 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (including internships), specifically conducting open-source research, writing client deliverables, data analytics, or related experience.

Skills:

Outstanding writing, research, and analytical abilities, with the capacity to distill complex information concisely.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Demonstrated client focus and a solutions-oriented mindset.

Excellent time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and project management skills.

Ability to review and refine team outputs effectively.

Professional proficiency in a foreign language, with an emphasis on Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish (preferred).

Professional fluency in English required.

Background in Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) techniques.

Familiarity with basic data manipulation and visualization software tools is a plus.

Experience with web scraping tools or coding is a plus.

Location Washington, DC | Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm (in-person)

Compensation $60,000 – $65,000
