The City of Cudahy, located in Southeast Los Angeles County, is seeking a dynamic, progressive, and community-focused City Manager to lead a diverse, evolving city with strong cultural roots and a forward-looking vision. With a population of approximately 22,000, Cudahy is small in size but rich in opportunity—offering a unique blend of big-city access and small-town connection. Responsibilities
Lead City Hall operations and provide public leadership in alignment with the City’s vision.
Aspire to inspire staff, partner with the City Council, and engage the community in meaningful ways.
Advance economic development, improve organizational efficiency, and guide the City’s future through transparent and inclusive leadership.
Implement the City’s Cudahy 2040 General Plan, manage smart growth, and modernize operations.
Build and nurture community partnerships to support a high quality of life for residents.
Spanish language ability is highly desirable.
Qualifications
A combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying.
A typical path includes a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, finance, or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including five (5) years in a management or administrative capacity.
Compensation Salary: DOQ, and an attractive benefits package.
