NA, serving as the single point of contact for Business and M&S leadership. It drives innovation, cost optimization, and strategic supplier partnerships. The position oversees sourcing strategy, supplier relationship management, and portfolio rationalization to support growth, sustainability, and operational excellence. ResponsibilitiesRegional
Engaging at Opella NA level and be the Single Point of Contact SPOC for the Business and M&S Heads of NA Focal point for NA Innovation, Growth and Science hubs in NA, contribute to and drive the implementation of the Opella Growth Strategy together with Business and respective Regional functional teams including the establishment of a competitive and reliable local CMO and CDMO panel Manage existing base business CMO and CDMO panel in the region to deliver cost, cash and competitive advantage to Opella in the region Work closely with the Business and Regional Innovation teams, ensuring alignment of strategy, portfolio, execution, and investment for innovation and NPD Be a strategic partner for the Development Centers teams and New Product Development centers working for their regional category Implementing and executing competitive and innovative category strategies based on market intelligence, assessing risks and opportunities Fully aligned on budget and strategic plan, delivering value to the businesses Deliver world class total savings objectives at regional level to execute 100 percent of all levers Ensure procurement technical excellence including TCO, SRM, Market Intelligence, Risk Management, CSR, HSE, compliance, quality and Sustainability Co building make versus buy strategy in the Region in line with the global strategy and local needs Creating and developing a team of talented people with a high business acumen and appetite for transformation Global
Establish sourcing business cases allowing the use of China and AMEA CDMOs and CDMO for global sourcing Ensure global performance meets expectations on fundamentals including HSE/Sustainability, Quality, Sanofi Manufacturing System, and Supply while identifying and evaluating potential strategic business partners Align with the other Region Heads in External Manufacturing Procurement to determine the best sourcing strategy for regional and global brands Qualifications
Business administration, master’s degree and or university degree in pharmaceutical engineering or process, or equivalent. Master in procurement is suitable At least 15 years of experience in a management or transversal role with proven records in change management and result delivery, plus experience in FMCG or FMCH Previous senior management positions in NA as well as global positions Strong business acumen and ability to build sustainable business connectivity Strong capability to manage business and interact with executive level internal stakeholders and suppliers in a complex environment Solid understanding of both procurement and operations; a combination of functional experiences in manufacturing and SCM as well as procurement would be ideal Sound experience in innovation management and business case development Leadership skills with proven track record in building and leading cross functional teams Effective communication skills Why Opella At Opella you will enjoy doing challenging, purposeful work, empowered to develop consumer brands with passion and creativity.
