Job Title: Senior Developer
Duties:
Responsible for analysis, design, programming, and implementation of complex applications and projects. Devise procedures to resolve business problems using computer resources. Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify systems. Provide technical direction and support in the development and support of business systems software. Design, code, test, and debug applications. Responsibilities include: Providing expertise on application integration across the business. Acting as an internal consultant, mentor, and change agent, working closely with stakeholders to determine requirements and ensure solutions align with strategies and standards. Making design recommendations based on long-term IT strategies, including code development and reuse, architecture design, and performance monitoring. Analyzing, designing, programming, and implementing systems to solve complex business or scientific problems, developing enterprise applications, and evaluating interrelationships to anticipate impacts of changes. Developing programming standards, devising new data sources, and participating in the full system lifecycle, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Providing guidance to junior staff, leading projects, and resolving issues with team members and users. Testing, debugging, and documenting programs. Skills: Minimum Required Skills and Abilities: Advanced understanding of application development, quality assurance, and integration in mainframe, midrange, or PC/LAN environments. Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills, ability to work under pressure, team-oriented, and familiar with project management concepts. Attention to detail and ability to assess requirements, risks, and benefits. Minimum Required Software and Tools:
Knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools. Work Environment:
Customer-focused, fast-paced, multi-platform environment requiring 24/7 responsiveness. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience (4 years relevant work or 2 years plus an associates degree). Experience:
Minimum 8 years in application development or related fields. Location:
