Description
We are looking for a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and offers an exciting opportunity to create impactful data visualizations and reports that drive decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in BI tools and a strong background in political science, criminal justice, or related fields.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements for data analysis.
Translate complex datasets into clear and actionable insights.
Ensure data accuracy and consistency through thorough validation and testing.
Optimize BI tools and systems for enhanced performance and usability.
Provide technical support and training to end-users on BI solutions.
Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in the field of business intelligence.
Work within interdisciplinary teams to align data strategies with organizational goals.
Requirements
Proven experience in business intelligence development, with a focus on tools like Microsoft Power BI and Tableau.
Strong knowledge of political science, criminal justice, or related disciplines.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex datasets to generate actionable insights.
Proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication abilities to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
